Eye Health: Access to eye care services remains a challenge, especially in rural and remote areas of Jharkhand. There is a pressing need for heightened awareness and education concerning eye health and preventive measures among the population. Many individuals, particularly in rural regions, may lack knowledge about common eye conditions, symptoms, and the significance of regular eye check-ups.
The initiatives of the organization encompass screening camps, school-based eye health programs, cataract surgical campaigns, and partnerships with government-run hospitals and other NGOs
Nutrition: Jharkhand is recognized for its high rates of malnutrition, especially among children and women. The organization is dedicated to improving access to food security, particularly for those affected by poverty. Our approach involves enhancing the income of impoverished families through support for income-generating activities, skill development, and facilitating linkages with banks and government programs.
Furthermore, we focus on improving dietary practices by promoting the consumption of locally available nutritious foods. Additionally, we work towards enhancing the services provided by Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) centers, which play a crucial role in addressing malnutrition and ensuring the well-being of children and mothers in the community.
Maternal and Child Health : The limited awareness about maternal health, early marriage, and poor nutrition significantly contributes to complications during pregnancy and childbirth in Jharkhand. As a result, infant mortality rates and under-five mortality rates in the state are among the highest in India. Additionally, immunization coverage faces challenges due to logistical issues, lack of awareness, and cultural barriers, leaving a significant portion of children underimmunized and vulnerable to preventable diseases.
Our organization is actively engaged in awareness generation for safe delivery and the reduction of infant, child, and maternal mortality rates. Through our community-based programs, we focus on improving healthcare services, enhancing awareness about maternal and child health, promoting proper nutrition practices, and increasing access to essential healthcare services. By addressing these key areas, we aim to contribute to the overall improvement of maternal and child health outcomes in Jharkhand.
